Abstract

The rapid development of the introduction of new dispersed energy sources into electric grids and the creation of private generating power plants encourages consumers to change their status from the passive state (ordinary consumers of electricity) to active and act as a full participant in the electricity market.

The article analyses and evaluates the potential of "flexible" renewable energy sources as a new component of modern Smart Grid power supply systems. The influence of "flexible" renewable energy sources on the change in the schedule of electrical loads is shown. Possible methods of stimulating the development of individual electricity producers in Ukraine are described.
